Security Breakdown: NPFL slaps Nasarawa United ₦6M fine

Nasarawa United Football Club has been handed a fine of ₦6 million by the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for security lapses during their match against Plateau United on Sunday.
The club was fined ₦1 million for inadequate security measures and an additional ₦1 million for failing to manage the conduct of their supporters. Another ₦3 million was imposed for repeated breaches of the NPFL Framework and Rules, with the final ₦1 million to cover medical expenses and compensation for Plateau United’s Vincent Temitope, who was injured during the match.
Additionally, Nasarawa United has been instructed to identify and prosecute the individual responsible for the assault on Temitope, with evidence of legal action required.
As part of the penalties, the club will be banished to the Pantami Stadium in Gombe for the remainder of the season, where they will play all their home fixtures.
