Reps setups Adhoc Committee to oversee legislative functions in Rivers [Full List]

The House of Representatives has unveiled the full list of members appointed to oversee developments in Rivers State following the declaration of a state of emergency.
The committee, which aims to ensure transparency and legislative oversight during the period of emergency rule, includes the following lawmakers:

The head of the secretariat supporting the committee is Prof. Jake Dan-Azumi.
According to a statement signed by the Spokesman of the House of Representatives, Rep. Akin Rotimi Jr., the initiative underscores the House’s determination to uphold the Nigerian Constitution and ensure that extraordinary interventions, such as the one in Rivers State, remain subject to rigorous legislative scrutiny.
“This development underscores the resolve of the House of Representatives to uphold the supremacy of the Constitution and ensure that the extraordinary measures undertaken during the emergency period remain subject to legislative oversight, guided by transparency, accountability, and the best interest of the good people of Rivers State,” the statement read.
