JAMB releases 2025 Mock UTME Results — Over 115,000 Candidates cleared

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has officially released the results of the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) conducted on Thursday, April 10, 2025.
According to a statement issued by JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, candidates who sat for the mock exam can now check their results by texting “MOCKRESULT” to 55019 or 66019 using the same phone number (SIM) they registered with.
JAMB stated that the optional mock examination was introduced to test the board’s annual innovations and allow candidates to experience the Computer-Based Test (CBT) environment ahead of the main UTME.
Out of 200,115 candidates who initially indicated interest in the mock exercise, only 200,113 completed registration as two candidates withdrew. On the exam day, 73,844 candidates were absent, and 88 others failed the biometric verification, leaving 126,181 who successfully took the exam.
Out of those who wrote the exam, 115,735 results have been processed and released. However, 10,446 results are still undergoing processing and will be made available in due time.
JAMB acknowledged that some candidates experienced delays during the mock exam and apologized for the inconvenience. The board attributed the delays to new features and technologies being tested to improve the experience of the main UTME.
“The Board appreciates the understanding and support from candidates and parents as these innovations are aimed at enhancing the overall examination process,” the statement read.
JAMB also encouraged candidates to continue preparing diligently for the main UTME and to embrace the mock exam as a helpful tool in getting accustomed to the CBT format.
