Crossdresser Bobrisky alleges arrest, detention on arrival to Nigeria

Popular Nigerian influencer and crossdresser Bobrisky has been detained by Nigerian immigration officers, as revealed through an Instagram post on April 1, 2025.

Sharing her confusion with followers, Bobrisky wrote, “Guys, I’ve just been arrested by immigration in Nigeria. I don’t know what I did o.”

The detention comes on the heels of Bobrisky’s recent trip to the United Kingdom, where she faced multiple legal challenges.

These included ongoing investigations by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) and a heated public feud with online critic VeryDarkMan.

This incident adds to a series of legal entanglements for the controversial personality. In April 2024, she was sentenced to six months in prison for the offense of naira abuse, after being convicted of mutilating and spraying the Nigerian currency at public gatherings. Later in the year, reports indicated that she was detained at the Seme Border while trying to leave Nigeria, with immigration authorities listing her as a “person of interest.”

The circumstances surrounding Bobrisky’s current arrest remain unclear, and Nigerian authorities have yet to issue an official statement. Fans and critics are eagerly awaiting further updates on the situation.
