We won’t allow crisis that will destabilize Rivers People source of livelihood – Fubara

Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, has assured residents that the ongoing political turmoil in the state will ultimately empower the people rather than weaken them.
Speaking during an Eid-el-Fitr visit from Muslim leaders representing 20 Islamic-based groups, including the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, Fubara urged residents to trust in divine processes and remain steadfast.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Nelson Chukwudi, Fubara emphasized his commitment to justice and equality, vowing that no one would be oppressed under his leadership.
Addressing concerns about potential violence, he cautioned against individuals attempting to destabilize the state, stressing that his administration would not allow disruptions that could jeopardize people’s livelihoods.
Muslim leader Nasir Uhor reaffirmed the Islamic community’s support for Fubara, commending his inclusive governance. He also called on President Bola Tinubu to review the emergency rule in Rivers State and reinstate Fubara’s full authority.
Prayers were offered for the suspended governor, his family, and the state, as supporters continue to rally behind him amidst the crisis.
