Nigerian Army begins recruitment for 89 Regular Recruits Intake

The Nigerian Army has commenced online registration for the 89 Regular Recruits Intake Exercise for Trades and Non-Tradesmen/Women.

According to an announcement on its official X account, applicants must be single Nigerian citizens by birth and possess a valid National Identity Number (NIN) and Bank Verification Number (BVN). Candidates must also meet medical, physical, and psychological fitness standards set by the Army and have no criminal record.

Non-Trades candidates must have at least four passes, including English Language, in not more than two sittings in WASSCE, GCE, NECO, or NABTEB. Trades candidates must possess relevant trade qualifications or certificates.

The age requirement is 18–22 years for Non-Trades applicants and 18–26 years for Trades applicants as of June 30, 2025. Male applicants must be at least 1.68 meters tall, while female candidates must be at least 1.65 meters tall. A valid state of origin certificate is also required.

The Army highlighted several benefits, including career growth, allowances, access to further education, social integration, and pension/gratuity.
