Enugu to host 2026 National Sports festival as Gov Mbah inaugurates LOC

Enugu State Governor, Dr. Peter Mbah, has officially inaugurated the Local Organising Committee (LOC) for the 23rd National Sports Festival, scheduled to take place in Enugu in 2026.

Governor Mbah emphasized that the committee members were carefully selected based on their expertise, outstanding achievements, and significant contributions to the sports industry.

The LOC will be led by the Enugu State Commissioner for Youth and Sports, Mr. Lloyd Ike Ekweremadu Junior. Other key members include Bamiduro Olumide, Mary Onyali, Davidson Owumi, and Jonathan Nnaji.

As preparations intensify, Enugu State is gearing up to host the highly anticipated sporting event, which is expected to welcome over 11,000 athletes from across Nigeria.
