Former President Muhammadu Buhari has reaffirmed his strong bond with President Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu, joining the nation and Tinubu’s family in celebrating the President’s 73rd birthday.

In a statement released by his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, on Saturday, March 29, Buhari conveyed his heartfelt birthday wishes, praying for Tinubu’s long life, good health, and the continued success of his administration.

The statement reads: “Former President Muhammadu Buhari underscored the bond between him and the President with a call, joining the family and the nation in celebrating the birthday of Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Adekunle Tinubu.

“In a telephone call on Friday, the former President said he and the members of his family are in prayers for Tinubu for long life, good health and the successful administration of the country by the President, as he marks his birthday. “ ‘When we pray for our leaders, we are praying for ourselves and the nation. We owe this to ourselves and the nation,” Muhammadu Buhari said to President Tinubu.

. “The former President said his family and himself remain indebted to President Tinubu and other leaders of the party for the invaluable contributions they made towards the formation of the All Progressives Congress, APC, catapulting him to the presidency for two terms, after failed attempts in the past, and in helping to produce another APC administration with the Asiwaju himself at its head.

“ ‘No doubt, the annals of the country will not be complete without bringing into mention and without a recognition of the varied and numerous roles of President Tinubu as an entrepreneur, a party stalwart, a staunch activist, party organizer, party builder, a reliable ally and a serial winner of democratic elections.

I am truly proud of my association with the Asiwaju. “ ‘When Nigerians handed the baton of leadership to the APC in 2015, it was a mandate to lay the foundation for a new Nigeria where the poor get opportunities for a better future and I am glad that the vision is not lost.

It was a victory of all those who wish the country’s good’. “He also used the opportunity to wish the President, his family, and the nation a successful completion of the Ramadan fast and a happy and joyful Sallah (Eid).” Akpabio Celebrates Tinubu; Senate President Godswill Akpabio has commended President Bola Tinubu’s unwavering vision and commitment to Nigeria, describing it as a source of inspiration.

In a congratulatory message personally signed by him on Saturday in Abuja, Akpabio lauded the president’s passion for the nation’s progress, noting that it is both remarkable and contagious. “Your Excellency, on behalf of my family and constituents, the Senate, and the entire National Assembly, I wish you a happy 73rd birthday,” Akpabio stated.

“Today marks a significant milestone in your life, and I am honoured to celebrate with you. “Your leadership, vision and dedication to our great nation are truly inspiring. “As Senate President, I have had the privilege of working closely with you, and I must say that your passion for Nigeria’s progress is contagious,” he said.

The Senate President said that Tinubu had pursued a political career marked by a strong commitment to progressive democratic principles and the uncanny courage in tackling authoritarian regimes.

He said that as the president of Nigeria in the last two years, Tinubu had demonstrated astute leadership, as he advocated for democratic values and bold economic reforms that had started to yield dividends.

“With you in the driving seat, Nigeria is in safe hands and Nigerians could not have made a better choice in 2023. “As you mark this special day in this period of Ramadan, I pray that the Almighty Allah grants you continued wisdom, strength and good health to steer our nation towards greater heights.

“Please accept my warmest congratulations and happy birthday, Mr President,” Akpabio said.

Ajure Wrote; My Father, My President, Happy Birthday. On my first day serving in the present government, I only knew H.E. Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu as my President.

My Boss. The leader of our great nation, Nigeria. I had not had the privilege of being around him, except on two brief occasions before that day, despite a very active campaign effort on his behalf.

I could not have known then that I would find in him my most profound mentor and nothing less than a father in the truest sense of the word. The President has been nicknamed the Last Man Standing.

The last man standing does not merely describe a man who heroically campaigned across all nooks of our federation against institutional forces who conspired to deny our population its currency and fuel.

The last man standing does not also merely describe Daddy as the perpetual winner, triumphant over perpetual candidates, who has won every election he has ever participated in dating back to his school days.

For those who have the rare privilege of knowing him, he is the last man standing in your corner when all odds are stacked against you; rooting you on and guiding you to success. Daddy taught me that the cost and value of rigorous mentorship is the price of a glorious future and that it is only paid back once it is paid forward to the next generation.

Daddy taught me that appropriate patience and strategic restraint will defeat hard power. Daddy taught me that consistent persuasion born out of sincere conviction will break the coercive grip of those who beguile and bully others into submission.

There are too many invaluable morsels of wisdom and expertise gleaned in the presence of my father to share in this short recognition, but I am and will always be honoured to be associated with our nation’s greatest reformer. On this special day, I turn to my Father:

Daddy, I thank you for making the selfless and deliberate choice to use your life’s candlelight to kindle the candle flames of those who will illuminate this dark world for generations to come.

May God Almighty strengthen you with divine wisdom, peace, health, and all that is required of you to deliver the country of our dreams. Happy Birthday. Ajuri
