WCQ: Akwa Ibom Govt buys 30,000 tickets for fans as Nigeria faces Zimbabwe in Uyo

The Akwa Ibom State Government has reportedly purchased 30,000 tickets for football fans ahead of the Super Eagles’ 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe.

This initiative is aimed at boosting support for the national team as they take on Zimbabwe’s Warriors at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium, Uyo, on Tuesday.

The Super Eagles have played all their home games in the qualifiers at this venue and will be looking to build on their recent 2-0 victory over Rwanda in Kigali.

The crucial Group C encounter is scheduled to kick off at 5 pm.
