Governor Dikko Radda mourn as mother passes away

Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda, has lost his mother, Hajiya Safara’u, at the age of 93.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ibrahim Kaula Mohammed, confirmed her passing in a statement on Sunday, announcing that she would be laid to rest at 4:00 pm in Radda Village, Katsina State.

“We offer our deepest condolences and pray that Allah grants Hajiya Safara’u eternal peace in Jannatul Firdaus,” the statement read.

Describing her as a woman of strength and dignity, Mohammed noted that Hajiya Safara’u’s wisdom was shaped by decades of experience.

Beyond being the mother of Governor Radda, she played a significant role in nurturing leaders and strengthening her community.

Among her children are Alhaji Kabir Umaru Radda, the current Village Head of Radda, and Hajiya Hauwa Umaru Radda, the former wife of the late President Umaru Musa Yar’adua.

Hajiya Safara’u was known as a true Fulani matriarch, leaving behind a lasting legacy of integrity, perseverance, and community service.
