Gov Fubara, allies make first public appearance after suspension (Photos)

Suspended Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara, made his first public appearance on Sunday following his suspension by President Bola Tinubu.
Fubara attended a church service at Salvation Ministries in Port Harcourt, where he was seen interacting with congregants.
A senior pastor warmly received him and ushered him into the church service.
Fubara arrived with a modest convoy with no official governor’s flag or seal.
ThisDay Nigeria reports that President Bola Tinubu declared a state of emergency in Rivers State on Tuesday, which led to the suspension of Fubara, his deputy, Ngozi Odu, and all members of the State House of Assembly.
Tinubu appointed retired Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibok-Ete Ekwe Ibas, as the state’s sole administrator.
The National Assembly ratified the emergency rule on Thursday after a closed-door session.
