BREAKING: Many feared dead as explosion rocks Karu Bridge in Abuja

A fuel-laden truck has exploded on Wednesday night around the Karu Bridge area of Abuja, sparking fears of casualties.

According to eyewitnesses, the truck lost control near the bridge, which is located between Kugbo and Nyanya on the Abuja-Keffi Expressway.

Several vehicles were reportedly trapped in the inferno, with occupants struggling to escape.

Residents in the area attempted to reach emergency services as the fire raged, with distress calls continuing up until 7:50 pm.
