Reps donate N705m to Tinubu to support vulnerable Nigerians

The House of Representatives has donated N705 million to the federal government to assist vulnerable Nigerians amid economic challenges.

The donation, which covers six months’ salary (July to December 2024) of House members, was announced on Monday during an Iftar event at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

Speaker Tajudeen Abbas presented the donation on behalf of the lawmakers, emphasizing their commitment to alleviating the hardships faced by many Nigerians.

“This gesture underscores our dedication to the welfare of the Nigerian people, especially during these difficult times,” Abbas stated.
