Court orders Oba Otudeko to take plea in N30bn fraud case

The Federal High Court in Lagos has directed business mogul Oba Otudeko to enter a plea in the charges filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
Justice Chukwujekwu Aneke issued the order on Monday while presiding over the case.
The EFCC had earlier filed a 13-count charge against Otudeko and three others over an alleged N30 billion loan fraud.
During the hearing, Justice Aneke ruled that Otudeko must take his plea before the court can consider an application challenging its jurisdiction over the case.
The judge then adjourned the matter to May 8 for further proceedings.
