BREAKING: NYSC summons Corps Member over viral criticism of Tinubu’s Government

The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has reportedly summoned Ushie Rita Uguamaye, a corps member serving in Lagos, following her viral social media post criticising President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
According to a message from the NYSC Local Government Inspector (LGI), seen by SaharaReporters, Rita, with code number LA/24B/832, was instructed to report to the Eti Osa 3 local government office by 10 a.m. on Monday.
Background
Rita, known as @talktoraye on TikTok, posted an emotional video lamenting the rising cost of goods in Nigeria. She criticised Tinubu’s leadership, questioning the government’s efforts in addressing inflation and economic hardship.
She decried the soaring prices of basic items, including eggs, security, and transportation costs, stating that her NYSC allowance was insufficient to meet her daily needs.
Shortly after the video went viral, she claimed she began receiving calls from NYSC officials pressuring her to delete the post.
In a follow-up video, she shared a recording of an NYSC official scolding her, allegedly warning her to remove the content immediately.
The corps member expressed concerns about her safety, stating that the NYSC has access to her personal details, including her home address.
