I’m ready to join hands with Obi to recue Nigeria – Bala Mohammed

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has declared his willingness to collaborate with Labour Party’s 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, in delivering good governance to Nigerians.
Speaking on Thursday after a closed-door consultation meeting with Obi at the Presidential Lodge in Bauchi, Mohammed emphasized that their discussions focused on addressing poverty and insecurity, transcending political, religious, or tribal affiliations.
“We discussed state-by-state challenges, and I feel highly appreciative of what he is doing as the leader of the opposition because, whether we like it or not, he is the leader of the opposition in Nigeria today.
I am ready to work with Peter Obi. We will make sure we come together, close ranks, and bring good governance to the country. We will give vibrant opposition with knowledge, vision, and strategy to rescue and recover our country.”
He also hinted at support from fellow PDP governors, stating that their collaboration is not about political differences but about national interest.
Peter Obi, in his remarks, noted that the meeting was part of his ongoing consultations with key political stakeholders to discuss Nigeria’s pressing issues.
“The North is a critical component if we are going to get it right in this country. There is poverty in Nigeria, and we must address it. Until we solve poverty, we cannot effectively tackle criminality,” Obi stated.
The meeting, which lasted for over three hours, is expected to strengthen opposition efforts and foster discussions on policies aimed at lifting Nigerians out of economic hardship.
