Nigeria needs a young leader, I’m ready to run for Presidency, says Odumeje

Popular Onitsha-based cleric, Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere, widely known as Odumeje, has announced his intention to contest for Nigeria’s presidency.
In a viral video recorded during a church service at his Mountain of Holy Ghost Intervention and Deliverance Ministry in Anambra State, Odumeje expressed his desire to lead the country, though he did not specify which election year he plans to contest.
With the next presidential election scheduled for 2027, political activities are already gaining momentum. Odumeje stated that Nigeria needs a younger and more digitally inclined leader, rather than “old cargoes” in power.
“We need a young leader in this country, and I think I am coming out. We need a young leader as a president, a digital leader, not old cargoes. I think I will come out, I will come out for president,” he declared.
The cleric also claimed he understands the struggles of Nigerians and vowed to transform the country by providing what he described as a “modern and digital life.”
“I know what you need. I know what you want. I want to construct a main road called Citadel for you. I want to give you a modern life, a digital life,” he added.
