Rivers State Governor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, has extended an invitation to the Martins Amaewhule-led House of Assembly for a crucial meeting following his receipt of the Certified True Copy (CTC) of the Supreme Court judgment on the state’s political crisis.

The invitation was conveyed through a letter from the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Tammy Danagogo, addressed to Speaker Martins Amaewhule. The meeting is scheduled for Monday at 10 a.m. at the Government House in Port Harcourt.

According to the letter, the agenda includes discussions on the presentation of the 2025 state budget, the payment of outstanding allowances to lawmakers, and the provision of a suitable venue for Assembly sittings.

The letter read: “His Excellency has received the Supreme Court Judgment and has therefore directed me to invite you and your colleagues—the Honourable members of the Rivers State House of Assembly—to a meeting to discuss:

Provision of a befitting space for the Assembly’s sittings.

Payment of all outstanding remuneration or allowances of the Honourable members.

Presentation of Budget and sundry matters.

Any other necessary matters to chart the way forward in the best interest of the state.”
